Marketing & Publicity Committee
This Committee is responsible for seeing that King's Town Players and all of our shows are publicized, maintaining contact with local newspapers and researching other possible media outlets (radio, internet, etc.) for possible publicity opportunities.
Business Development & Outreach
This Committee focuses on development of community and business partnerships to grow KTP's base of support. The Committee will develop a Sponsorship Package for new and potential business partners, and will participate in shaping audience development strategies and marketing campaigns as the company moves into its 6th season in 2015/16. Members of this committee should have experience and knowledge of the business and/or philanthropic communities in Kingston, and may be able to advise on strategies for enhancing KTP's profile in the city.
The support of generous individuals and public institutions is important for any non-profit entity, and nowhere is it more challenging and rewarding than in grassroots, hands-dirtied, face-to-face arts fundraising. Members of this Committee will help build capacity for King's Town Players by developing a range of ongoing fundraising strategies: From donation campaigns to subscriber incentives to idea-generation for fundraising projects, this Committee's members will be creative, driven, and passionate for increasing public and private support for King's Town Players on an ongoing basis.
An ad hoc Committee working in conjunction with Fundraising, this group will convene when King's Town Players needs an extra team to ensure the success of an upcoming Special Event. Be it our Season Launch Beer Dinner, a donor or volunteer appreciation evening, or an exclusive post-show VIP party, this committee will help hammer out the most important details of our auxiliary events and special projects.
Facility & Asset Maintenance
Although we do not have a theatre facility of our own, we do have a rehearsal and build space that needs care. This group meets on an ad hoc basis to see that the King's Town Arts Studio gets all of the care and attention that it deserves. Upcoming projects include reorganization of the workshop, maintenance of flats and risers, bathroom upgrades, some electrical work, and installation of new doors — plus seeing to the wish list of technical additions needed to make the rehearsal hall usable as a small performance space. Members of this committee will help with planning and implementation of facility- and asset-related projects, and the group is best served with participants that have connection to the building, trades and/or architectural industries. Heck, if you can pick up a paintbrush, we're sure they'd find something for you to do.
