Myriam Beaulne

Myriam holds a B.A. in Cultural Studies and a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences. She has been involved on and off in theatre for over 20 years – both on stage and off. In recent years, Myriam has been involved with a number of productions in Kingston’s community theatre as a stage hand, set building crew, stage manager, and costumer. In the King's Town Players first season, she produced two shows, designed costumes for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), co-stage-managed Night of the Living Dead, was front-of-house manager for Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Props Manager for True West and produced Perfect Pie.

 

Clayton Garrett

Clayton has been active in the Kingston theatre community since the early 90s as an actor, director, and scenic designer. He attended The Players Academy in Toronto and returned to Kingston where he worked with Lennox Community Theatre, In the Dark Theatre, Rogue and Peasant Theatre and Domino Theatre. Clayton has appeared in over 30 productions and has received recognition for his acting roles. Clayton has worked as screenwriter and producer on the film 21 Brothers. For King’s Town Players’ first season, Clayton acted in our first show, directed our second, produced True West and designed four of the sets.

 

Krista Garrett

Krista has been involved with local Kingston theatre since the 90s. She attended Queen's University’s drama program. Her involvement has been both on stage and behind the scenes in various production capacities. Krista's recent stage credits include: Monkey's Story, Rope's End, Twelfth Night, Dress Rehearsal and Sideman. She was awarded the EODL award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Terry in Sideman by Warren Leight. During our first season, Krista directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), produced Picasso at the Lapin Agile, was front-of-house manager for three shows and acted as publicist extraordinaire for the whole season.

 

Chris McKinnon

Chris has been working with the King's Town Players for their inaugural season as a prop maker, set designer and builder. Previous experiences include set construction and properties manager on A Midsummer Night's Dream, Jabberwocky, and Dogg's Hamlet, Cahoot's Macbeth. He has also worked for several years as Marketing and Publicity Director for the Guelph Spring Festival and the Edward Johnson Music Foundation.

 

David Slack

David joined the King’s Town Players as the director for Picasso at the Lapin Agile as well as photographer for many of the productions. David has appeared on stage in local productions as well as directing shows for Domino Theatre, Lennox Community Theatre, and Front of House Productions. David was a founder of SlackWood Productions which offers theatre workshops for children.

 

Steven Spencer

Steven is a drama and English teacher who has worked as an actor and director with many Kingston Theatre companies, including Theatre 5, Theatre Kingston, Artistic License, In the Dark, Rogue and Peasant, Domino Theatre, and King’s Town Players.  He has taught summer workshops in acting for Blue Skies Arts Camp, Rogue and Peasant and Slackwood Productions. Steve acted in two of King’s Town Players’ first season shows: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
